The learning process must begin with easy to access, quality instruction with all the proper learning tools that guide a student, step by step, from very basic skills to the art of playing an instrument. The Video Exchange Method ensures that online students can receive personal mentoring, specific feedback and guidance as they progress in their experience and skill level to become better players.
ArtistWorks develops Internet-based businesses in partnership with leading musicians who are experienced in teaching and want to help players either get back to music or simply improve their playing. In collaboration with such music educators, ArtistWorks creates subscription-funded websites for music students - no special talent or ability level is required. Each Internet-based online school is a united community of like minded students from all over the world, that are interested in learning a little more about their instrument or breaking into new territory with their playing.

Musicians are carefully chosen by ArtistWorks based on their ability and desire to teach, musical talent and enthusiasm to lead an online community. The ArtistWorks teaching concept is designed to easily blend existing activities of our instructor musicians with teaching their online community while "on the road".
Student-friendly
Students appreciate the ability to access previously unavailable music instructioin in an convenient and affordable manner. Unique to the ArtistWorks approach is its customized interactive video learning environment called the "Video Exchange System" (VES). Utilizing ArtistWorks proprietary technology platform (patent pending), students can submit their own videos to the instructor for evaluation and are provided video responses that address the student's issues, directly from the artist. Students are always able to access this historical reference library of interactions between student and teacher on the site in the Video Exchange Center. With this expert feedback and the opportunity to view the other students' Video Exchanges, progress is unlimited and the learning material continually expanded.
Our Philosophy
Highly skilled and experienced musician instructors are often simply inaccessible for a variety of reasons. First, in person lessons are not only expensive, but travel expenses may be involved and schedules must be co-ordinated. Most working musicians have difficulty fitting in beginner students, often choosing to spend their time on those who already have a serious dedication to the instrument or genre. Beginners are left to study with local or less experienced talent, perhaps creating bad habits and poor technique from the start. The ArtistWorks mission is to unite the rare talent of the world, with students of every skill level in any country regardless of how long they've been playing an instrument. Our approach to learning has no boundaries, even language is not a barrier. With robust technology, made easy for both students and teachers, the world becomes a little smaller. ArtistWorks is able to bring experienced teachers and musical players together and perpetuate a tradition of face to face instruction, but through the ease and power of 21st century video technology at an affordable price, in your own home.
