About Classical Piano with Christie Peery
Christie Peery has created a comprehensive video library that includes hundreds of piano lessons, exclusive performances, and interviews. Students have unlimited access to all these online piano lessons plus notation, backing tracks, and other study materials. What ultimately sets these online lessons apart from other offerings however, is the ability to submit a video for personalized feedback using the ArtistWorks Video Exchange® learning platform. Christie Peery reviews each submission and records a video response, offering tips about how to improve. All students can access Christie’s Video Exchange library, which is has been steadily expanding since 2009.
About Christie Peery
Christie Peery Skousen won her first international competition at the age of 13. At age 17 she studied with Dmitri Boshkirov at the Gnessin School of Music in Moscow, and later attended Tanglewood in Massachusetts. At age 18, Christie studied at the Peabody Conservatory of Music of The Johns Hopkins University under Leon Fleisher. Christie has performed numerous times as a soloist with symphony orchestras around the world. She has won numerous national and international competitions including the Corpus Christi International and the Missouri Southern International. Other international prizes for Christie include the Junior division of the Gina Bachauer International and the Joanna Hodges Competition in California. In 1998 she co-founded and served as the Director of Business Operations for the Metta Academy of Music. Aside from her online piano lessons with ArtistWorks, Christie currently serves as the Master Teacher and founder of Peery Piano Academy and is the author of the Peery Piano Habits Program, a conservatory level teaching and certification system. She also serves on the faculty of the San Francisco Conservatory Preparatory where she is Head of the "First Steps at the Keyboard" program.
